Week 2-2 | Basic Chinese Characters 汉字
From what I understand, all these Chinese characters are based on our surroundings particularly everything we, humans see in our everyday lives. Take for example the nature around us.
They might represent the symbols of the nature objects which are then simplifies to be used in writing.
These are some basic examples that I have learnt:
木(mù)= tree
艹(cǎo) =grass
云(yún)= cloud
氵(shuǐ) =water
日(rì) =sun; day
These shapes are then combined to create different meaning but is still related to the initial meanings.
